Best Washington DC bar to watch Detroit Lions end playoff drought in 2023
Detroit Lions fans on Reddit are done with not having a gameday bar in New York City. One user in r/detroitlions has stepped up to establish one for 2023.
DC’s best Midwest-themed bar could be in for an uptick in Lions gameday attendance if the 2023 season lives up to the hype.
Motor City Dan Campbell has breathed life back into the Lions fanbase, bringing them to the brink of the playoffs in 2022 with a Week 18 win at Lambeau Field against the rival Green Bay Packers.
The Lions missed the cut for the postseason on tiebreakers, but the offense clicked enough for real hype to build around the franchise as it goes for its first playoff appearance since 2016. (It probably helps that Aaron Rodgers left the division too).
Here’s where Lions fans can gather with fellow Detroiters throughout the 2023 season.

This spot is in the heart of DC’s Shaw neighborhood, but it oozes Midwestern vibes.
Ivy and Coney promotes ties to Detroit and Chicago, serving Detroit-style pizza, Chicago style hot dogs and an “Italian Beefza”– a pizza with Italian beef and giardiniera on top.
