A year after Texas and Alabama met for a thriller in Austin, the Longhorns and Crimson Tide meet again as the No. 11 and No. 3 teams in the nation, respectively.
Even after the departures of top 10 NFL Draft picks Bryce Young and Bijan Robinson, this year’s matchup should have massive implications on the college football playoff landscape. The game even an added juice knowing they’ll soon be facing each other as conference opponents when Texas moves to the SEC.
As if that wasn’t enough, they’ll be playing under the lights at Bryant Denny stadium: it’s a 7 p.m. start.
Not to sound hyperbolic, but games like these are what college football is all about.

Alabama doesn’t have a long history at Salazar – they used to sip Yellowhammers at Union Pub – but that’s where the alumni chapter will be organizing game watch parties in 2023 after moving there in 2022.
Salazar has multiple levels, so there will be plenty of room away from the casual daydrinkers.

Greene Turtle Navy Yard
New to Alabama’s 2023 lineup of DC bars is the Greene Turtle in Navy Yard.
The Greene Turtle, a DMV staple with an especially heavy presence in Maryland, has it’s only standalone DC location in Navy Yard, just steps from Nationals Park.
Since it’s a new location for Bama it’s unclear just how packed it’ll be this early in the 2023 season, but there’s no doubting Tide fans.

Texas bar in Washington DC: Penn Quarter Sports Tavern
DC Texas Exes are back at Penn Quarter Sports Tavern for the 2023 year, and they’ll be out in full force on Saturday.
This location draws hundreds for big games, with upwards of 500 packing inside and outside the tavern for Red River, estimates Cole Stevens, president of DC Chapter of UT Alum Association.
This bar breaks out all the stops for Texas gamedays. Be ready to join in on chants and see a LOT of burnt orange.
