Verification Process

Our verification process

2nd Home prides itself in being the most reliable source for team bar information anywhere on the internet. Every bar that gets added to our map is reviewed by a real human to ensure it has a gameday presence. If a bar doesn’t meet our standards, it doesn’t get added. Here is what we look for. 

  • Visual Evidence:
    Is there photo or video evidence of a fanbase at that bar on gameday?
  • Organization
    Is there a fan club or alumni association that meets at the bar?
  • Recency
    Did the fanbase meet at the bar in the past year?
  • Availability
    Is the bar open?

Occasionally, bars close down or fan clubs change their location. 2nd Home works relentlessly to update the map as changes happen, but it’s always smart to check with the bar and/or fan club for the latest details.

    What does 2nd Home mean by “verifying” a bar?

    To ensure fans have a great experience at the bars we recommend, we put bars through a verification process to make sure fans of a particular team are actually watching games there. You can find more about our standards above. 

    Can I add a bar to the 2nd Home Map?

    You can submit a bar for verification by visiting our Nominate Bar page and filling out the necessary information. We rely on visual evidence to verify bars, so try to submit a picture! A 2nd Home team member will review your submission and add it to the map if it meets our verification standards. 

    Can I submit photos to be added to a bar’s listing on the 2nd Home Map?

    Yes! Simply navigate to the bar that you want to upload a photo for on the 2nd Home Map, click the “Upload” button, select the file you’d like to upload, insert the photo credit for whoever took the picture, and hit “Next”. Then, a 2nd Home team member will review your photo and add it to the listing.

    Can fans verify a bar’s gameday presence?

    Yes! If you’ve been to a bar listed on the 2nd Home Map and you’d like to recommend it to others, navigate to it on the map and click the “Verify” button below the title. This will update the “Last verified” date on the bar’s info card.

    Which sports does 2nd Home provide bars for?

    2nd Home provides bars for NFL fanbases nationwide and college football fanbases in select cities.
